The Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons (MAPS) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide educational opportunities to plastic surgeons in the Midwest region. The membership includes academic, group and private practice plastic surgeons as well as plastic surgeons in training. Our Annual Scientific Educational Meeting is a single day event to be held at Northwestern Memorial Hospital-Feinberg Conference Center. The meeting features keynote speakers, panels and individual presentations on clinical and research topics related to all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery (including general reconstructive surgery, aesthetic surgery, hand and nerve surgery, breast surgery, craniomaxillofacial surgery, pediatric surgery, wound healing, patient safety, practice management and research). Typical attendance is between 125 and 175 members and CME credits are awarded.
This year, the Annual Scientific Educational Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
MAPS welcomes industry & corporate support to advance the educational mission and to provide members exposure to new products and services. The MAPS Program Committee follows the CME accreditation rules and guidelines related to providing unbiased educational material with appropriate disclosures when needed. In accordance with these rules, MAPS is allowed to provide an area just outside the conference room where commercial exhibits may be displayed. The exhibit area is approximately 40 feet by 60 feet with an escalator that leads to the conference room. The meeting registration booth is in this area and during regularly scheduled 20 to 30 minute breaks during the meeting, refreshments are served in this area allowing members to interact with sponsors.
